Omeo

With Omeo at the crossroads, Big River Bridge Campsite is a good option…

Even though it is 47km north of Omeo, Big River Bridge Camping and Picnic Area is one of few around the area I could take the dogs. The sign does say leads required though. Being in and around the Alpine National Park does make dog travel a little tricky.

I stopped here for lunch by the Mitta Mitta river. The dogs had a swim and cool drink while I relaxed on the grassy bank. I had been on my way to a campsite 25km west of Town, or 90km south-east of Bright, called Victoria Falls Historic Park. Just after I missed the sign to the campsite, the radio issued a weather warning, so I continued on to a friend’s place in Albury. Hopefully someone will post information and photos on the Travel Sites page.
