Travel Guide

A good quality Travel Guide ensures more time is spent enjoying travelling.

I have used a few travel guides in my time. Making sure I have the best available has made all the difference, especially at the end of a long day’s travelling.

The book most used by people travelling Australia is the Camps Australia Wide series. Just about anywhere I have been, this is the book on the dash, the coffee table, the picnic bench or on the beach towel. Mine lives next to my driver’s seat.

Because I am travelling with dogs, I have been on the lookout for a guide that addresses my particular needs. I was so pleased to find that the New 2nd edition of “Bush Camping with Dogs” by John Frith will be available in March 2011. Bush Camping WITH DOGS is the complete guide to dog friendly camping in Australia. Detailed information for 1300 sites with access details, facilities and activities. Location maps for each state plus detailed maps with plenty of additional photographs.

Buy this great book here for $34.95 plus $10 postage. Buy here with PayPal Or Order through the Contact Us page Or Buy from me direct as I keep spare copies with me for travellers to buy.

The Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia Limited – CMCA for short, is an organisation that has a long and strong history. Membership is affordable and the offers are broad. The informative Wanderer’s Mate travel guide comes with your membership. If you have a camper trailer, like me, you can join as an associate and still enjoy many benefits. The Travel Information section, including Travel Tales, is full of very useful information.

There are many more quality guides to be enjoyed. Feel free to let us know your favourite through the Comments Page.
