Wingello State Forest campsite is great if you enjoy walking and mountain biking.
The camp area at Wingello State Forest is good for biking or hiking.
It has a lovely clearing within a forest of huge trees, with various mountain bike tracks radiating out.
The road to the town parallels the Hume Highway between Goulburn and Moss Vale. Turn into Forest Road after the shop and follow it for about 4km. The road becomes a dirt road and can get a bit rough. Any car will easily cope if the speed is kept to a minimum where required.
The toilet facilities are good quality and clean. A small of amount of water is available. Camping is possible among the trees or in the clearing near the toilets.
The bike tracks make for good walking tracks with the dogs. Lots of smells to explore and bush to run through.
This is an easy place to spend some time.
Phone reception with Telstra is good.
