Premer has hot showers and power at an affordable price.
Premer Lions Park camping area is between Quirindi and Coonabarabran. It’s the park on the corner where the road turns off to the little town and its post office. Drive in the opening where the large white posts are.
There is plenty of room here, with access to power and hot showers. To stay here without hooking up the power is $7 per night, including the hot showers. To plug in costs a reasonable $12 per night. Water taps are on the power posts as well.
The barbeque and covered seating is light and airy. The rubbish bins are always a bonus.
This is a favourite for those who travel these parts regularly. It’s good to know you can get off the main highways and have all the conveniences for an affordable fee, while maintaining the relaxed atmosphere of camping.
Fellow campers told me Friday nights here at the Lion’s Den is lots of fun. A short stroll down the street takes you to the post office and shop, as well as a new hotel with a relaxing deck to stretch out on.
